Confirm Multiple File Delete Dialog Box

The Confirm Multiple File Delete dialog box provides options for deleting and unlinking multiple files.

To access the dialog box, select more than one file with references to other files and right-click Delete or press Shift + Delete.

Note: If you delete or unlink a single file with references, the system displays the Confirm File Delete dialog box.

Delete Options

Unlink the selected files from the parent folder and workspace.
Unlinks the files selected for deletion from the folder and workspace where they were created but leaves them on the 3DEXPERIENCE server as global objects that in the future can be linked to again.
Permanently delete the files and their corresponding 3DEXPERIENCE objects.
Permanently removes the files and the server objects associated with them from the 3DEXPERIENCE server.

If you select a folder or workspace for deletion, it is always deleted permanently with either the unlinking or permanent deletion option.

File List

File NameExpand the trees to see the file(s) you want to unlink or permanently delete and the file(s) referenced by the file(s) you are selecting to delete.
ResultUse this column to determine the iteration of the referenced file.
AcceptLets you select the files to delete.
Note: The check boxes are only active for files you are selecting to delete.
Found inIndicates the file location for the file(s) you want to delete and for the referenced files.

Menu Options

Right-click in the file list to access these menu options:

ColumnsLets you add or remove columns.
Select AllSelects all files, so that you can check or clear the Accept column.
Select FilesLets you use wildcards to select a group of files. You can then use a single keystroke to check or clear the files in the Accept column.
Show Tree LinesDisplays tree lines.
Accept All WarningsToggles the display of lines that emphasize the relationship of files in the File Name tree structure.
Open File ListOpens a list of the files in Microsoft Excel.
Save File ListLets you save the file list as a comma-separated .txt file.
