Customizing Warning Labels

You can customize warning labels for command dialog box messages.

  1. From Windows Explorer, from the 3DEXPERIENCE menu bar, select Tools > Settings.
  2. From the Settings dialog box:
    1. In the Severity column, click the warning label you want to change.
    2. From the list, select the warning label you want to use for the message.

Notes: The Settings dialog box only provides a listing of the messages that you can customize. It excludes out-of-the-box blocking messages, which are not customizable.

Your administrator may set up your system to prohibit customizing warning labels. In such cases, the Settings dialog box displays a message that the administrator has turned off access to some settings in the dialog box.

  3. From the list, click the appropriate warning label from these selections:
    OptionDescription

Success. User is not made aware of the warning and the command is enabled.

Information. User is made aware of warning and the command is enabled.

Warning. User is made aware of warning and the command is enabled.

Severe Warning. User is made aware of warning and the command is enabled.

Blocking. User is made aware of the warning and command is disabled.

The first four options are considered visual cues that the user decides what is critical to their environment.

Tip: To show only the messages with customized warning labels, select the Hide unchanged warnings check box.

  4. Click OK.
