Clearing the Local Cache during Check-in

Context: This task only affects workspace folder content. It does not clear My Work content. My Work and its subfolders are considered local. You can delete their content using the Delete command.

  1. To clear the local cache in Windows Explorer, do one of the following:
    • Select any folder other than the database root and click Tools > Clear Local Cache.
    • Right-click the database root folder and click Clear Local Cache.
  2. To remove Toolbox files, in the Clear Local Cache dialog box, clear Do not remove Toolbox files.

By default, Toolbox files are not cleared from the cache.

  3. Click Yes.

If files in the local cache are writeable, a message informs you that they have not been removed.

Files are writeable if you have checked them out or if you have never added them to the database.

    1. Click More details to see a list of the files.
    2. Click OK to clear the message.
