From Connector for SOLIDWORKS, select the Search tab.
Note:
You can also select the Search tab by pressing Ctrl + F.
The Search tab appears with the Search tools at top and the Search card, or form, at the bottom.
- In the Search card, select from Checked in the time frame for your search.
Checked in is located at the bottom of the card. Its selections are:
- Any Time
- Today
- This Week
- This Month
- This Year
- The Last 3 Days
- The Last 10 Days
- The Last 30 Days
- Range
By default, the selection is blank and no value is selected.
If you select Range, go to Step 3. For all other Checked in selections, go to Step 4.
For all selections, Checked in reflects your selection, but for Range the Search card also displays two date selectors.
- If you select Range for Checked in, select dates for the range:
- Select a less than or equal to date from the right date selector.
- Select a greater than or equal to date from left date selector.
You can limit a date picker selection to only a range of less than (or greater than) and omit the other range selection. For example, suppose you only select 12/03/2012 in the left date selector and do not select a date from the right date selector. The software then only checks for files and objects with check-in dates that are 12/03/2012 or later.

-
Complete other search criteria as needed:
- Expand the action drop-down
, and select the type of objects (files, folders, or both) to include in the search results and whether to limit the results that are returned.
- Select as needed the check boxes that indicate whether to search all workspaces or the current workspace, to include subfolders, to search global objects in the database, and to extend the search to earlier versions and revisions of database files.
When doing a search that includes older versions, select the Search in all iterations check box.
- Complete as needed other filters for the search, such as Title, Description, and so forth.
-
Click Search.
The software displays the results of your search, which include files and objects for your specified time frame.
