Importing Favorite Searches

You can import favorite searches developed and exported by other Connector for SOLIDWORKS users or by SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM users.

Before you begin: Ensure that you can access the favorite.sfav file you need. This file contains the favorite search or folder (submenu) of favorite searches that you want to import.

Organize Favorites Dialog Box
  1. In the Search tab, click Favorites > Organize favorites.
  2. From the Organize Favorites toolbar, click Import favorites from file .
  3. From theImport favorites browse dialog box, select the .sfav file you want to import.
  4. Click Open.
  5. From the Import favorites dialog box, select the check boxes for the favorites that you want to import.

    If you want to import all the favorites including any folders in the imported file, click Favorites Menu.

  6. Click OK.
  7. From the Organize Favorites dialog box, click OK.

    If you close the Organize Favorites dialog box before clicking OK, the software fails to complete the import.

When you click Favorites in the Search tab, the submenu displays the name of your favorite import.
