Viewing Design Details from the Web Client

You can view from the Web client any file that you have checked in or checked out using Connector for SOLIDWORKS.


Before you begin: The design must exist on the server.
  1. Do one of the following:
    • In SOLIDWORKS, for an active design, click Explore in Web on the CommandManager or in the task pane toolbar for 3DEXPERIENCE.
    • In the local database view in Windows Explorer, select a file and click Display > Explore in Web or from the toolbar click Explore in Web .
    • In either SOLIDWORKS or Windows Explorer, in the Check In, Check Out, or Get dialog boxes, click Explore in Web (toolbar).

    Notes: There are other locations in Connector for SOLIDWORKS where you can select a file and click Explore in Web to see the file in the web client.

    To see in the web client the contents of a folder or a workspace, select the folder or workspace, respectively and click Explore in Web . To see your web client homepage, select My Work, and click Explore in Web .

    You can use Explore in Web to navigate either to the local version, or the latest version (when the local version is different from the latest version).

  2. From the log in prompt, type your Username and Password and click Login.
  3. If prompted, choose the appropriate credential from the drop-down list and click Done.
