Configuring a Connection to the ENOVIA SmarTeam V5 Connector

This task provides useful information regarding the connection to and use of ENOVIA SmarTeam V5:

  1. Troubleshooting scenario: You must configure SmarTeam to create the CGR files (for 3D thumbnails) and the jpg files (for non-3D thumbnails) for the Visualization transfer scenarios.
    1. Open SmarTeam - Editor with Administrator privileges.
    2. From the Admin menu, select Applications Setup.
    3. In the Applications Setup window, select the CATIA product, and click Tools.
    4. Select the Embedded Viewer tab, and click Modify.
    5. Check that the configuration in the Embedded Viewer Settings window is defined as follows: (Class ID = 156B79D3-C69C-11D4-B595-00104B3E8C2C) (Event ID = 156B79D1-C69C-11D4-B595-00104B3E8C2C) .CATProduct.cgr,.CATProduct.jpg
  2. Troubleshooting scenario: Check if the connection is possible or not.
    1. Verify that SmarTeam services are running.
    2. Verify that IIS services are running.
    3. Verify that you used the correct username and password.
  3. Troubleshooting scenario: After an Expand All, default images are displayed instead of CGRs.
    1. Verify either that the SmarTeam server is configured to save using a CGR or that you used the Save as Type option in CATIA.
    2. Check for SmarTeam Authentication with the database in the Authentication Manager.
