About Order Processes

This document provides information about order processes.

This page discusses:

Context Options

Several options are available when you right-click a bend process.

  • Move after / Move before: It is available for all bend processes except for already created free step order processes. You can select several processes to move them at the same time.
  • Define process steps: The Define Process Steps dialog box opens and lets you define the number of steps into which a bend process is to be divided. It is available for all bend processes except for already created free step processes. For each step, you can edit the bend angle value which can go beyond the start and end values. You can also link this bend angle to a knowledge parameter. When you edit the knowledge parameter, the linked bend order process is automatically updated.
  • Modify angles: The Modify Angles dialog box opens and lets you modify start and end angles. It is available for all bend processes which angles can be modified, except for already created free step order processes. It also allows you to link the bend angle to a knowledge parameter. When you edit the knowledge parameter, the linked bend order process is automatically updated.
  • Modify Unfold Mode: It enables you to choose the radius type of a bend process. This option is unavailable for free step order processes and bend processes that correspond to propagated flanges.
  • Add free step order process: It is available for all processes except for already created free step processes.
  • Merge processes: It is available when multiple processes are selected.
  • Decouple processes: The process is decoupled in as many processes as there are processes present in the grouped process. It is available for processes containing more than one process.
  • Remove order process: It removes any process or type of processes from the extracted order process.
  • Reframe on process: it positions the selected process at the center of your screen.
  • Merge processes by feature: The Select option enables you to merge the processes created by the same feature. The All option enables you to merge all the processes by creating features.
Note: For chamfer processes, you can choose to add a free step before the stamping step to better simulate the manufacturing process.

Management of Features after the Generation of the Order Process

After generating the order process, you can add, delete, or deactivate a feature and still have the right order process.

  • To add a feature, edit the first order process and click Intregrate New Processes in the Sheet metal Order Process Definition dialog box.
  • To delete or deactivate a feature, select the feature and click Delete or Deactivate.

The part is deleted or deactivated and a Sheet metal Order Process Update Warning appears, indicating that the redundant processes will be deleted if you continue.

  • To edit each process, double-click it. The Sheet metal Order Process Definition dialog box is displayed and the Partial mode option, the Direction and Component boxes and the Initialize processes button are unavailable.
