About the Creation of Chamfers
  1. From the Refine section of the action bar, click Chamfer .
  2. Select a sharp edge.
    Tips:
    • From the list, you can define which type of edges are to be selected, and then click Automatic selection to automatically select all corresponding edges. When no edge is selected, you can use the Selection filter .
    • To create a longitudinal chamfer, select a single long edge. This allows you to create a welding chamfer, for example.

The chamfer is previewed on the edge and is automatically propagated to the tangent edge.

  3. Choose the chamfer type and define the associated values for each parameter.
    OptionDescription
    Length1 / Length2 Enter two lengths values.
Length1 / Angle Enter a length value and an angle value.

You can click Reverse to invert the parameter side.

  4. Select another edge on the part and click OK.
Selected sharp edges of the 3D shape are cut off or filled in.

    Warning:
    • If a sharp edge is selected in the thickness of the wall, its length must be equivalent to the wall thickness.
    • If the sharp edge is not selected in the thickness of the wall, it must limit the faces of the wall.
    • You cannot chamfer the edges of a stamp.
