Set Access Roles that can Change the Collaborative Space that Owns Content

This access rule determines who can transfer the collaborative space component of the ownership of content.

You can choose from these combinations of access roles:

  • Administrator
  • Administrator and Owner
  • Administrator, Owner, and Leader
  • Administrator, Owner, Leader, and Author
  • Administrator, Owner, Leader, Author, and Contributor
  • Administrator, Owner, Leader, Author, Contributor, and Reader

This access rule also applies to users with restricted roles. For example, if you chose the third option above, users with Owner (Restricted) and Owner (Restricted) roles can change the responsible person for content.

This access rule is affected by the Allow Users To Modify Content in Any Collaborative Space They Have Access To access rule (enabled by default). When enabled, any person that can with transfer ownership based on this Set access roles that can change the Collaborative Space that owns content access rule does not need to be logged into the collaborative space and organization that own the content. However, if the Allow users to modify content in any collaborative space they have access to access rule is disabled, the person must switch credentials to the owning collaborative space and organization before transferring the content.

If a person is logged in with the Administrator access role in one collaboration space and the Allow users to modify content in any collaborative space they have access to access rule is disabled, the Administrator can still transfer ownership for content in any collaborative space. This access rule does not apply to users with the Administrator access role.

The Allow users to modify content in any collaborative space they have access to access rule does not affect a person with administrative privileges in a collaborative space, such as a person with the Owner/Owner (Restricted) access role, who is logged into a different collaborative space with that access role.
