Some organizations want to allow users to create major revisions of content when necessary, regardless if someone has the major revision locked and is working on it. Other organizations want to prevent this occurrence. This access rule lets you choose which option you want to implement. By default, this access rule is disabled and only the person who locked the content can create major revisions. This access rule applies to these types of content:
For other types of content, only the person who locked the content can revise it, regardless of the setting of this access rule. This rule does not include the ability to create minor revisions locked by someone else. When created, a minor revision might supersede and automatically replace the prior minor revision when it is released. A major revision, however, does not supersede or replace the prior major revision, allowing multiple active major revisions to exist. |
