Updating Network and Work with Constraint Manager


Before you begin:
  • In Me > Preferences > Common Preferences > Object Properties > 3D Shape > Display, 3D Shape Infrastructure tab, Display in Tree section, select Constraints to see the constraints in the tree.
  • In Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Styling > FreeStyle Shape Design, General tab, Matching Constraint command options section, select Mean Surface Solver.
  • Open a 3D shape containing surfaces.

Match Constraint Dialog Box
  1. Create the first constraint.

    Note: Do not click Apply.

  2. Click OK.


  3. Create the second constraint.

    Again do not click Apply

  4. Click OK.


  5. Right-click any of one of the two continuity types and select Update Network to update both the constraints.

    You can also update both the constraints by clicking Update all in the Update Flyout of the action bar.

    The mean surface is computed.

  6. Optional: Change the order of update of constraints inside the network.
    1. Right-click Free Form Constraint.x root node in the tree.
    2. In the networks list, under Networks, select the network present in the part.
    3. Change the order of the constraints using the arrows under Constraints..
    4. Click Apply to update all the constraints in the changed order.
    5. Click OK.
