Modifying Reference Planes

Edit Planes lets you modify reference planes of a reference plane system.

  1. To modify the offset between all planes in a particular direction, enter the required offset values in the boxes.

  2. Use the following context toolbar commands to modify other parameters of the reference planes:

    CommandDescription
    Edit Offset Lets you edit the offset between the selected reference planes.
    Flip Orientation Flips the orientation of the selected reference planes.
    Align Orientation Aligns the orientation of the selected reference planes with the orientation of the reference plane system set during creation.
    Edit Category Lets you modify the category of the selected reference planes.
    Set as MidShip Sets the selected reference plane as midship.
    Important: The Set as MidShip command is available only for the planes along the length.
    Set as CenterLine Sets the selected reference plane as centerline.
    Important: The Set as CenterLine command is available only for the planes along the width.
    Insert/Delete planes in between Lets you insert or delete reference planes between the two selected reference planes.
    Edit GridSet Lets you modify prefix and orientation for the selected direction of the reference plane system.
    Delete planes Deletes the selected reference planes from the reference plane system.
