Setting Reference Plane as MidShip

You can set the selected reference plane as midship.

Before you begin: Open a reference plane system.

  1. From the Operations section of the action bar, click Edit Planes .
    The reference plane system appears in the edition mode.

  2. Select the required reference plane along the length in the 3D area.
  3. In the context toolbar, click Set as MidShip .

    Warning: The Set as MidShip command is available only for the planes along the length. It will be unavailable for reference planes along the width and the height.

    The selected reference plane is set as MidShip.
    Tips:
    • You can add other categories to the reference plane that is set as midship. However, after you set the reference plane to midship, you cannot change it. To change the midship of the reference plane system, you need to set another reference plane as MidShip.
    • If you select the midship reference plane in the tree, the corresponding plane is highlighted in the 3D area.
