Managing Publications

You can create publications for reference planes, origins, bounding box, centerline, and midship.

Before you begin: Open a reference plane system.
  1. From the Operations section of the action bar, click Manage Publications .
    The publications are created for reference planes, origins, bounding box, centerline and midship. A message appears informing that the publications are created successfully. The publication for each feature is created under the Publication node in the tree.
    Tip: You can click the down arrow in the message box to view a list of features that are published.
  2. Click Close.
    The message box is closed.
  3. Modify the reference planes by adding or deleting the planes.
    The publication icons in the tree show update masks.

  4. Click Manage Publications to create or delete the publications for the added or deleted planes respectively.
    A message appears informing that the publications are created or deleted successfully. The publications are also added or deleted in the tree. However, the publications show update symbol.
  5. Click Close.
    The message box is closed.
  6. In the tree, right-click the Publications node and select Update > Update.
    The publications are updated.
