Setting up Reference Plane System in Data Setup

You can set up a reference plane system in Data Setup.

Before you begin: Create a reference plane system.
  1. From the Compass, click Data Setup.
  2. In the Resource Tables tab, expand the resource set items Common Geometry Resource.
    The PLM Resource Set dialog box is displayed.
  3. Right-click the resource table and select Edit the selected Resource Table.
    The existing table opens.
  4. To set up the reference plane system:
    1. Select the Common Geometry Reference row.
    2. Right-click in the Resource column and select Choose the assigned resource.
      A dialog box appears for the selection of a PLM reference for Common Geometry Reference.
    3. Select the reference plane system either by searching it in database or from the session.
    4. Click OK.
    The reference plane system is assigned to Common Geometry Reference.
  5. Click OK.
    The resource table is closed.
  6. Select Share > Save > Save All.
    The assigned resource is saved.

Note: The 3D grid created under the reference plane system is used as the default 3D session grid.
