Merging Meshes

You can merge two meshes, without modifying their triangles (holes are not filled, no management of overlaps, ...). This is especially useful for meshes resulting from a constrained mesh as it removes the seam created by the constrained mesh.

Before you begin:
  • This command is available in 3D Printing Preparation, not in 3D Printing.
  • For a good result, repair the meshes first (that is,, create missing triangles or fill holes, for example). See Preparing Meshes.
  1. From the 3D Printing section of the action bar, click Merge Meshes .
  2. Select the meshes to merge.
    1. To remove a mesh from the list of meshes to merge, make its name active in the list and click Remove.
    2. To replace a mesh in the list of meshes to merge, remove it, then select a new mesh.
    3. Pick a mesh in the work area to add it to the list.
  3. Once you have selected all meshes to be merged, click OK.

A new single-cell mesh is created with the name Merge Meshes.x.
