This task explains how to install the Design with SOLIDWORKS client on cloud.

Design with SOLIDWORKS supports forward proxy. User proxy authentication may be required when the browser is launched to access to 3DEXPERIENCE login page, when the 3DEXPERIENCE launcher is triggered from the compass, and when IEC Java client is started.

Before you begin: Ensure that you have the Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS role in addition to Collaborative Business Innovator and Collaborative Industry Innovator roles.
Recommendation: Reboot the computer before proceeding to the installation.
  1. Log in to the 3DDashboard application as an appropriate user.
  2. From the Compass, select Design with SOLIDWORKS.

You may have to install a compatible version of 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher if it is not already installed on your client computer.

  3. Click Download 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher > Run > Next.

You can browse and select the folder to install the files.

For subsequent logins, you can either start Design with SOLIDWORKS using the above method or start it through a 3DEXPERIENCE shortcut created on the desktop. Specify your login credentials here to connect 3DEXPERIENCE PLM Services to 3DEXPERIENCE server.

The MySession pane appears. You do not need any additional login.
