About Lock and Unlock

You can use the Lock command to lock a file so that only you can modify the contents in that file. Using Unlock command other users can modify that file.

The Lock and Unlock commands are available in the context menu of an object in the MySession widget. You can also access them through the Lifecycle tab of the action bar in the MySession widget.

Locking a revision helps in avoiding concurrent changes to the same revision by other users. Lock and Unlock operations are subject to access and permissions.

To lock a revision through the MySession widget, you must have the latest file from that revision in your local folder. If the file available locally is not the up-to-date file, then you cannot lock it until you retrieve the latest version from the revision.
