Open Mode Types

The Open dialog box contains different options to open SOLIDWORKS objects in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This dialog box is displayed only when the Choose the mode before opening file option is selected in the Options dialog box of MySession. The Open Mode dialog box appears from multiple web apps: MySession, 3DSearch, Relations, Product Structure Editor, and Drag and Drop from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

When the Open operation is performed in 3DEXPERIENCE, the files are downloaded locally before the Open dialog box is displayed. The files are downloaded, even if the Open operation is canceled.
