To access the PartSupply components:
The PartSupply page displays all the availabale components. You can perform operations like Open, Insert, or Replace on the components. With any of these operations, the component is imported in 3DSpace and is automatically switched to the Released state. Also, the components are imported in the Common Space collaborative space. On premises only: A user must be added to the Common Space. You can assign the user any
authoring role for this collaborative space.
On the cloud only: All the
designers can access the collaborative space.
When a PartSupply component is used for the first time, the component is imported in 3DSpace and is saved in MySession. For a PartSupply component that is already imported in 3DSpace, the component is locally downloaded and all its attributes are retrieved in the MySession. Once the PartSupply component is a part of 3DSpace, it is similar to any other physical product. This import process creates CAD data in 3DSpace that is used by other CADs connected to 3DEXPERIENCE. Note:
The PartSupply assembly is
compressed into a part, so that a sldprt file is generated.
