You can create text at any given position along linear or circular elements. The text
characters can be orthogonal or normal to a curve. You can apply a font type, size, and
alignment to text parameters.
Before you begin: Create or edit a sketch.
From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Text.
The Sketch Text dialog box appears.
In the Text box, enter the text you want in the sketch.
You can select the linear, circular, or noncanonical curve as a support to create the
text. By default, the text displays in a horizontal direction when no valid support curve
is defined.
From the Font list, select the font to apply on the text.
Optional:
Choose the font attributes.
Click for bold
text.
Click for italic
text.
In the Font Size box, enter the value to define the height of
the characters in the text.
In the Spacing box, enter the percentage value to add or reduce
the spacing between each character of the text.
In the Ratio box, enter the percentage value to define the ratio
of the width of the characters in the text with respect to the height of the
characters.
Choose the text align point.
Click anywhere in the work area
Click a sketch entity in the work area
Select one of the following options to define the text alignment with respect to the
text align point:
Left Alignment
Center Alignment
Right Alignment
Select one of the following options to define the text positioning with respect to the
sketch entity:
Descender
Baseline
Middle
Ascender
Vertical
Vertical left
Vertical right
Vertical alignment options are dependent on the support curve.
Optional:
Click Flip Text Orientation
to reverse
the text orientation in relationship to the geometry.
