Adding Zebra Stripes to Components

You can see wrinkles or defects in a surface when you apply Zebra Stripes. You can use Zebra Stripes to verify that two adjacent faces are in contact, are tangent, or have continuous curvature.

  1. From the Tools section of the Action Bar, click Zebra Stripes Analysis .
    Zebra stripes display on everything in the 3D area.
    Note: Click Edit Zebra Stripes Display to open the Zebra Stripes dialog box and edit the parameters.
  2. Specify the direction of the stripes.

    Horizontal. Places stripes so they appear horizontal on the component.

    Vertical. Places stripes so they appear vertical on the component.

  3. Edit the Zebra Stripes Size and Density by dragging the sliders.

  4. Click the color swatches to change the Colors. Click in the color picker or drag the handles to select the colors.

    The default colors for zebra stripes are black and white.

    You can reverse the Zebra Stripes colors clicking Flip Colors .
