Accessing 3D Components from PartSupply

You can use the PartSupply content service to access 3D components provided by a number of suppliers and manufactures.

This task shows you how to:

PartSupply from Action Bar

You can open PartSupply from the app action bar.

  1. From the Marketplace section of the action bar, click PartSupply .
    The 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace | PartSupply dialog box opens.
  2. Click Open PartSupply.
    The 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace | PartSupply widget opens.
  3. From the widget title bar, click to add the widget to your dashboard using the Add widget dialog box.

    You can browse, search, configure, and compare 3D components for your work.

  4. When you find what you want, drag the thumbnail pictures into your app to insert or open it.
    The component is added to the Common Space as a Physical Product. The next time you need this component you can find it in the Common Space. If the same component is dragged from PartSupply again, the one that is already in the Common Space is used.

PartSupply from 3DCompass

You can open PartSupply from the 3DCompass.

  1. Click the 3DCompass.
  2. Click the As a Business Model tab.
  3. Click TRADING EXPERIENCES.
  4. Drag the PartSupply Components As a Service image into your dashboard.
    The 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace | PartSupply widget automatically is pinned to your dashboard.
  5. When you find what you want, drag the thumbnail pictures into your app to insert or open it.
    The component is added to the Common Space as a Physical Product. The next time you need this component you can find it in the Common Space. If the same component is dragged from PartSupply again, the one that is already in the Common Space is used.
