You can create one or more chamfers on a 3D shape to cut off the sharp edges.
Before you begin: Create a wall.
From the Sheet Metal section of the action bar, click Sheet Metal
Chamfer
.
Select an edge.
Also, you can click to select one of the following:
Select concave edges.
Select convex edges.
After selecting an edge, you can use the Selection Helper
tool to find similar edges. For more information,
see Using the Selection Helper
To remove the
selections, click , and select
Clear all selections.
Choose the chamfer type (Distance/Distance or
Distance/Angle) and define the values for each
parameter.
Option
Description
Distance 1 / Distance 2
Enter two length values.
You can use the Robot to adjust the
values.
Distance / Angle
Enter a length value and an angle value.
Note:
You can use equations for all numeric parameters. Click the dimension text. The dimension
text becomes editable. Type = in the input field, to
open the Equation dialog box and enter a formula or number. Select a
parameter from the list. You can perform the basic operations such as
bracket, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the
parameter value. For more information, see Equations.
Click Swap Dimensions to swap the dimensions between the
edges of the selected corner.
Select the check box for Tangent Propagation to
propagate the tangency along the edge.
