Creating Notes in Drawing Sheets

You can create notes on a 2D drawing sheet. You can use the notes to add a comment or text about the selected component. You can edit the notes using the commands from the context toolbar.

You can also create notes in sheet formats or sheet background mode.


Before you begin: Open a model with 2D drawings in the app.
  1. Open a 2D drawing sheet from the Model Definition Manager Panel.
  2. From the action bar, select Annotations > Note .
  3. Place the note in the sheet.

    Notes are not attached to a drawing view, and it is previewed flat on the drawing.

  4. In the dialog box, enter a note.
  5. Optional: Select the format, symbols, and text color for the note.

  6. Click Apply and repeat.
    The note is created on the sheet. The note is visible in the tree under the sheet.

    The dialog box remains open. You can create multiple notes at once. Click to save changes and close the dialog box.

    You can move, drag, and change the position of the note along the edge. You can also rotate, change the size, and position of the field. For more information, see Moving Annotations.
