Uninstalling 3DSpace Index

This section describes how to uninstall 3DSpace Index and 3D Indexing Server.

Important: The uninstallation must be performed by the OS user who performed the installation.

This task shows you how to:

Uninstall 3DSpace Index

This section describes how to uninstall 3DSpace Index.

  1. Optional: Back up the 3DSpace Index Data directory if you need to keep the index.
  2. Start the uninstallation:
    • On Windows, select the Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall or change a program control and double-click: Dassault Systemes 3DSpace Index 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x.

      You can also uninstall by running the following command with Administrator privileges: <3DSpaceIndexInstallPath>\Uninstall.bat.

    • On Linux, run the command <3DSpaceIndexInstallPath>/Uninstall.sh

    A warning displays to indicate that the data directory is going to be deleted.

  3. The 3DSpace Index uninstallation starts.

You can now safely reinstall the 3DSpace Index software if required. When reinstalling the software, you can reuse the original port number.

Uninstall 3D Indexing Server

This section describes how to uninstall 3D Indexing Server.

Start the uninstallation:
  • On Windows, select the Start > Control Panel> Programs and Features > Uninstall or change a program control and double-click: Dassault Systemes 3D Index Server 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x.

    You can also uninstall by running the following command with Administrator privileges: <3DIndexingServerInstallPath>\Uninstall.bat.

  • On Linux, run the command <3DIndexingServerInstallPath>/Uninstall.sh.

    If an error occurs, delete the installation directory with: rm –rf <3DIndexingServerInstallPath>

This procedure removes the installation directory only, not the data directory.

Note: 3D Indexing server uninstallation does not remove the taskNumber.txt file.
