Displaying 3D for Engineering Parts

You can display 3D for synchronized engineering parts in Product Finder. The 3D display for engineering parts will be available in CGR format provided that the CGR has been indexed.

Note: You can however view the 3D of non-synchronized parts in the tree, when the engineering part is explored.

Before you begin: Create and synchronize an assembly in Wintop applications. For more information about creation and synchronization, see Entering the Product Structure Design app and Opening a Product Document and Working with VPM-BOM Synchronization in Product Structure Design User's Guide and Collaborative Lifecycle User's Guide respectively.
  1. In the Search box in the top bar, enter a search string and click Search .
A list of engineering parts corresponding to your search criteria appears.
  2. Right-click the engineering part of your choice and select Explore.
The 3D of the associated physical reference is explored in Product Finder.
  3. Right-click the engineering root part and select Expand All.
The engineering part along with its child parts are displayed.
  4. Select the child instances of Product27508.
The related 3D object is highlighted.
Note: If the part is not expanded, the 3D of the instances is not overlapped with each other.
