Exploring Physical Reference from Engineering Part

You can retrieve the associated physical reference from a synchronized engineering part.

Note: Multiselect is available for Explore corresponding Product command.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Create and synchronize an engineering part in Engineering Central. For more information about creation and synchronization, see Configured BOM User Guide.

Explore Corresponding Product Through Search Results

You can explore corresponding product of the engineering part from Search Results Window.

  1. In the Search box in the top bar, enter a search string and click Search .
  2. Right-click the engineering part of your choice and select Explore corresponding Product.
    The associated physical reference is explored in Product Finder.

You can explore corresponding product of the engineering part from Product Finder.

  1. In the Search box of the Bar, enter a search string and click Search.
    A list of engineering parts corresponding to your search criteria appears.
  2. Right-click the engineering part of your choice and select Explore.
    The engineering part is explored in Product Finder.
  3. Right-click the engineering part and select Explore corresponding Product.
    The associated physical reference is explored in Product Finder.
    Note: An error message appears, if the engineering part is not synchronized.
