You can drag an object from another app into the Collaborative Tasks app, if you are using the app on your desktop. For example, you might drag a part object from another app and drop it into Collaborative Tasks to create or review tasks related to that part. You can also drag a task card from the board in Collaborative Tasks to another widget. This allows you to reparent tasks between widgets. The drop zone is highlighted in a light blue color with the text "Move Here" in the column view. You can pin 3DSearch to the dashboard and then select search objects and drop them into related areas within Collaborative Tasks. Use drag techniques to add or change values for:
If you drag an unassigned task to "In Work," the task is assigned to you. You can drag any object on to a task card. If the dropped object is a person object, it is added as an assignee. If it is another object type, it is added as an attachment unless the task is "In Work" or "Completed" in which case the object is added as a deliverable. For deliverables and attachments, you can drop a document from 3DDrive. For Assignees, Attachments, and Context, you can search for the value you want by using the global toolbar search and drag a selected value to the task card. You can drag the value in the Context field to the Context for the board and display all tasks having that context. You can drag and drop the Owner or Originator value to the Assignees field or to another task card. To change Status, use the Status view to drag a task from one column to another. To change the Due Date, use the Due Date view to drag a task from its current due date column and drop it on another due date column.
You can also drag a task to a column currently not visible to change its Status or Due Date. Drag the task to the indicator for moving column visibility (< or >). The column display moves and you can drop the task in the newly revealed column. When you change a task state to "In Work" (in the properties panel or by dropping) the percent complete is changed to 90%. When you change a task state to "To Do" (in the properties panel or by dropping) the percent complete is changed to 0%. |
