Creating Addendum Surfaces

You can create addendum surfaces, as top or wall surfaces, to extend the stamped part.

  1. From the Die Face section of the action bar, click Addendum Surface .
  2. Select an axis system (stamping direction).
  3. Select the part surface to extend.
  4. Select or create the first profile to create the top surface.

    You can create or edit profiles from the context toolbar.

  5. Select the second profile or vertex used to create the top surface.

    • The second selection must be of the same type as the first one (Selection of two profiles or of two vertices).
    • You cannot select an element already selected as first profile or vertex, or vice versa.
    • If you have selected vertices, you can create or edit top surfaces with or without fillets from the context toolbar.
    • If you have selected profiles, you can create or edit profiles or addendum surfaces from the context toolbar.
    • Profiles can be rotated along the Y direction, in the UW plane.
    • The Z direction of a profile can be aligned with the Z direction of the input axis-system.

  6. Create 2 more profiles.
  7. Select the first two profiles, and select Create an Addendum Surface from the context toolbar
  8. Create a second addendum surface from the other two profiles.
    1. From the context toolbar of this addendum surface, select Top Surface with One Fillet.
  9. Select the first addendum surface, and Top Surface with One Fillet from its context toolbar.

An Addendum Surface Set is created. It contains Addendum Surface, Split, and Sweep features.
