Note: Quick Draft Analysis is available from the Quick View section of the action bar.

  2. Select an axis system (stamping direction).

The Z-Axis represents the cutting tool axis.

  3. Select the surface or 3D curve to analyze with respect to the Draft Angle.
  4. Check the completion status of key indicators for backdraft and no draft areas.
  5. Under Analysis Details, select an item under one of the lists to inspect it.
  6. Optional: Modify the Draft Angle or the Facets Tolerance values.
  7. Activate more options.
    • Compute Areas
    • Fly Analysis
  8. Select a Color Mode
    • Detailed
    • Face/Edge
    • Smooth.
  9. Set the View Mode for the analysis.

  10. Set the Mesh Behavior.
    1. Enter the Interval Step.
    2. Enter the Lay Down Tolerance.
The Maximum Lay Down Deviation is displayed.
  11. Go to Extract Geometry to convert the results of the displayed analysis to dead geometry.
    • Extract Areas: Stores the results as dead geometries and 3D labels.
    • Extract Direction: Extracts the Z-Axis on each analyzed point.
    • Extract Geometries as Points.
    • Extract Values as Tags or Points.
    • Extract Points Number using Full, Minima and Maxima or User Selection.
