Defining Component Specifications

Define Component Specifications prepares the positioning of Components and creates the required geometry, feature publications and intelligence.

Note: You can also create Component Specifications from the context menu of an axis or of a sketch of points.

  1. Activate a 3D Shape representation.
  2. Click and select the type of the component expected by Component Specification.
  3. From the Specifications list, choose a creation method.
  4. Enter the values required for the patterns.
  5. If you have selected Individual Specifications, select points or axis systems.
  6. Expand Axis System Modification.
  7. When creating an Component Specification from a point, use the context menu in Reference Axis System.
  8. Click List View to list the Component Specifications with their destination in the tree, and their type.
  9. Right-click an Component Specification and select Properties.
    1. Optional: In the Tooling Properties tab, click the type, and select another one from the Types browser.
    2. Enter the values for the proposed dimensions of the expected Component, either as nominal values, or as a range of values.
    3. Enter User Information, if any.
