Removing Components

You can remove Components, and decide to keep their associated Component Specifications, or not.

  1. Make sure that all the impacts generated by the Components to remove are accessible when you start the command.

    • If a Component selected for removal is not editable, its impacts are not deleted, and the Component is not removed. A message is displayed.
    • If an associated Component Specification belongs to a representation that is not editable, or is used in an engineering connection involving a Component that is not selected for removal, the Component Specification is not deleted and a message is displayed.

  2. Right-click the Components in the work area, and select the required menu item.
    • If you select Name_of_ToolingComponent > Remove Component and keep associated Component Specifications, the selected Components and all their associated impacts and engineering connections are deleted in the targeted final representations. If required the Interface Skeleton is cleaned.
    • If you select Name_of_ToolingComponent > Remove Component and associated Component Specifications, the selected Components, all their associated impacts and engineering connections, and their associated Component Specifications are deleted in the targeted final representations. If an Interface Skeleton exists, it is cleaned if relevant.
