Defining Component Specifications on the receiving element makes the placement of
components easier. An Component Specification is an Axis System with some additional properties and
behavior. Using a pattern containing points makes the definition of Component Specifications quick.

Activate the 3D shape representation.
From the Component Use section of the action bar, select Define Component
Specifications.
Open the Type browser and select User Component as the expected type.
From the Specifications list, select Curvilinear Pattern
and select the circle.
In the Group1 dialog box.
Select Count from the list.
Set Count to 4.
Validate the Curvilinear Pattern.
Validate.
The Component Specifications are identified by an axis system and the
type of the expected component.
