You can import a terrain file with no geolocation information in a 3D part and add geolocation information afterwards. Although not intrinsically geolocated, a terrain file can contain coordinates that refer to a coordinate reference system.
-
In the top bar, select
in the list.
-
Select Terrain File.
The
Import dialog box
appears.
- In the Geolocation tab, click the Import with geolocation check box.
You can now edit both the source and target CRS of the terrain file as well as the point to re-center the cloud.
- Modify the terrain file information:
- Source CRS and or
- Target CRS and the origin point information.
- Add geolocation information to the 3D part either:
- Click Transfer (the geolocation information in the Target area is applied to the 3D part to define its geolocation), or
- Click Geolocate Part button
.
Geolocating the 3D part adds a geolocation extension to the 3D part. To tune geolocation for its ancestors, use the
geolocation B.I. with this position and the target (destination) CRS.
