Exporting a Terrain File

You can export a terrain file with a specific unit using the Export command.

Important: If the 3D part is geolocated, you can export the terrain with geolocation information. You can provide a destination CRS in which information is going to be exported. By default, the proposed CRS is the CRS defined for the 3D part (no transformation)

About LIDAR format
  1. In the top bar, select Share > Export > Terrain File.
    The Export dialog box appears.
  2. Select the file to export.
  3. Select the format and enter the file name.

    Important: Note that the LIDAR format is supported (*.las and *.laz) and thus optionally you can define a scale factor and offset values by selecting the Customize Scale Factor/Offset check box in the Options section.

  4. Specify the file unit for exporting the file.
  5. Optional: Select the Export with geolocation check box.
    Note: If the 3D part is geolocated, you can export the terrain with the geolocation information.
  6. Optional: Select a destination CRS where the data is going to be exported.
    By default, the proposed CRS is going to be the one of the 3D parts (no transformation).
  7. Click OK.
    The file is exported.
