Splitting Terrains

Splitting terrains consists of cutting and relimiting a terrain mesh using another terrain mesh as a cutting element.


Before you begin: At least two terrain meshes must be open.

Creating Terrains
  1. From the Structure section of the action bar, click Split .
    The Split dialog box appears.
  2. Select a terrain mesh to split from the Split dialog box.
    The Element to Cut box is updated with your selection.
  3. Select a terrain mesh as a cutting element.
    The Cutting Element box is updated with your selection.
  4. Optional: Click Other Side to change the orientation.
    Note: You can click to hide or show the selection.
  5. Click Apply.
    The terrain mesh is modified and split accordingly. A split object appears in the tree.
  6. Click OK.
