About Lock and Unlock

You can lock a revision to avoid concurrent changes to the same revision by other users.

Lock and unlock operations are subjected to access and permissions. A locked drawing indicates that it is in work and an unlocked drawing indicates that the design is not being edited and is available for modification.

Any modifications performed by other users on the locked documents are rejected.

An unlocked object can be locked if you have the right to lock it in the current Collaborative Space, Organization, and Maturity State of the object. Same applies while unlocking a locked object. You can lock and unlock only the objects that are saved in the 3DEXPERIENCE.
