About Change Action

Change action contains details about changes required in particular design. You can use Work Under feature to select a change action and track the modifications performed on a design or an object. You can view various objects that are associated with a change action in the Change Action app. For more information about change action, refer: Social and Collaborative | Configuration and Change Management | Change Management | Change Actions for Dashboard

You can use change action in following cases:

  • When the design is Frozen and needs any changes.
  • To promote design or objects from Frozen to Released state.
  • When you start a new design and want to record the changes.
Notes:
  • You must have the Change Management role to access the Change Action app.
  • When you Shut Down and Exit the connector, the Work Under Change does not remain active and needs to be reselected.
  • In the Collaborative Lifecycle app, while promoting objects from the In Work to the Frozen state, you must select the same change action.
  • When the objects in the Realized changes are in the Frozen state, you can promote the CA from the In Work to the In Approval state.
  • A reviewer can then review the changes and Approve the change action. When the reviewer approves the CA, the maturity of the CA changes to the Completed state and objects are moved to the Released state.
