3DEXPERIENCE Item Manager Dialog Panel

The following table explains the fields in the 3DEXPERIENCE Item Manager dialog box and their functions.

Field Name Description
Apply When you click Apply-
  • The selected EPC is assigned to all selected instances in the 3DEXPERIENCE Item Manager dialog box.
  • All assigned EPCs, EPC revisions, their components, and footprints are downloaded in the cache library.
  • Existing symbols are replaced with new symbols at the same origin. Visibility, location, rotation, and all visible properties are copied and applied to the newly placed symbol or component.
  • All the selected and configured instances for the update are reset.

Note: This option is available only when you select one or more instances to update.

Close Closes the 3DEXPERIENCE Item Manager dialog box and the 3DEXPERIENCE Components Search dialog box.

Note: When you mark any instance for update and do not apply it, a warning appears. If you click continue, all the changes are discarded.

Context Menu

The following table explains all the options available when you right-click an instance in the 3DEXPERIENCE Item Manager dialog box.

Option Description
Automatch Opens the Automatch Criteria dialog box.
  1. From the Matching Criteria list, select a searching criteria from title/comment, enterprise item number, or a description.
  2. From the Maturity State list, select a state from the states for an electronic component.
    Note: Empty state searches across all states.
  3. To search among only the last revisions, select the Last Revision check box.
    Note: Selecting the Last Revision check box disables the Maturity State option.
Search Open the 3DEXPERIENCE Components Assignment dialog box.
Search for '<values>' The following values are supported:
  • Design Item ID (if available and not empty)
  • Comment (if available and not empty)
  • Name of the assigned EPC (if available)
  • Title of the assigned EPC (if available)
  • Description of the assigned EPC (if available)
Each action opens the 3DEXPERIENCE Components Assignment dialog and opens a context-specific search with the selected value.
Choose Footprint The model dialog box with the list of all available footprints appears. The selected footprint is shown selected by default. You can select a footprint and click Ok.

The instance is selected for update and enables the Apply.

Note: This option is available when you select the instance with an assigned EPC that has more than one linked footprint.

Mark for Update Marks the instance for update and enables the Apply.
Unmark for Update Clears the instance marked for update. Removes the update flag.
Replace by Revision Opens the Replace by Revision dialog box.
Replace by Latest Revision

Lets you replace the object by its latest revision.

When you click Replace by Latest Revision, the selected object is replaced by its latest revision available in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Note:
  • You can select multiple objects and replace them by their latest revision.
  • Only objects you have access to are considered while replacing.
  • The child objects of the selected object are also replaced.
  • Orphaned objects are not cleaned.
Select All Selects all rows.
Unselect All Deselects all the selected rows.
Invert Selection Inverts the current selection of rows.
Copy Copies the values of the selected rows to the clipboard.

The following table explains all the fields in the Search dialog box launched from the 3DEXPERIENCE Item Manager dialog box.

Assign When you click Assign:
  • The selected EPC is assigned to all selected instances in the 3DEXPERIENCE Item Manager dialog box.
  • The instance is marked for update.
  • Apply is enabled in the 3DEXPERIENCE Item Manager dialog box.
Note: This option is available only when you select one EPC.
Close Closes the 3DEXPERIENCE Components Search dialog box.
