Adding Existing Objects to a Project

You can add an existing schematic or a PCB CAD objects to the current project that is open in Altium Designer.

Before you begin: Ensure that a project is open in Altium Designer.
  1. In Altium Designer, click 3DEXPERIENCE > Show 3DSearch.
    The 3DSearch dialog box appears.
  2. Search for the required object that you want to insert in the open project.
  3. From the search results, select required Altium object, and click Open or from it's context menu select Open With > Altium Designer .

    Note: If the CAD object already exists, the CAD object is overwritten with the CAD object from 3DEXPERIENCE.

The selected CAD object opens from 3DEXPERIENCE to the already open project in Altium Designer.
