Changing Maturity

You can change the maturity state of an object as it evolves throughout its lifecycle.

This task shows you how to:

Changing Maturity for Single Object

  1. To access the Change Maturity command, do one of the following.

    • Right-click an object in Altium Designer, and click 3DEXPERIENCE > Change Maturity.
    • In the Electronic Component Editor dialog box, click Change Maturity.

    The Maturity State dialog box appears.
  2. Select a new maturity state from the maturity graph by either clicking or , and then click OK.

    Note: An icon indicates if the transition can be applied to the object.
    • Applicable Transition
    • Not Applicable Transition

  3. Optional: To change the maturity state of children along with the maturity state of the selected product, select the Include Structural Objects check box .
    The chosen maturity state is applied to the parent product and all its children.
  4. Click OK to validate.

The maturity state of the selected object is modified.

Changing Maturity for Multiple Objects

  1. To access the Change Maturity command, do one of the following.

    • Select required objects in Altium Designer. Right-click on any one of the selected objects and click 3DEXPERIENCE > Change Maturity.
    • In the Electronic Component Editor dialog box, click Change Maturity.

    The list of selected objects appear in the Maturity State dialog box.
  2. For each object, select a new maturity state from the drop-down list.

    Notes:
    • Aggregated representations are automatically added after their corresponding part. The chosen maturity state is applied to them if their current maturity state allows it.
    • The list of maturity states only displays valid transitions from the current state of the object.
    • For each object, an icon indicates if the transition can be applied to the object.
      • Applicable Transition
      • Not Applicable Transition

  3. To exclude an object from maturity transition, double-click the corresponding .
    The icon changes to Not Applied Transition.
  4. Click OK to validate.

    Note: In the case of multiple objects, if the transition request fails for one object, no transitions are processed. For example, if the object is modified or locked by someone else after you clicked the command, the transitions are not processed.

The maturity state is modified for selected objects.
