Creating and Attaching Documents to Variant Assemblies

You can create and attach manufacturing output documents to the variant assemblies.

Before you begin: You must add an Altium OutputJob Document for each variant in the Altium design. The name of the OutputJob Document must start with the prefix Variant_, and then include the name of the variant and end with the OutputJob Document suffix .OutJob. For example, a variant with the name Asia would require an OutputJob Document with the name Variant_Asia.OutJob.
  1. In Altium, right-click the object to save and click 3DEXPERIENCE > Save with options. For more details, see Saving to 3DEXPERIENCE.
    The variant specific OutputJob documents are displayed in the product structure similar to PCB specific OutputJob documents.
  2. Click Save.

    The created manufacturing output documents are attached to the corresponding variant assembly.
