3DEXPERIENCE Preferences

You can specify preferences for 3DEXPERIENCE. Log in to 3DEXPERIENCE to specify these Preferences.

You can perform general settings related to 3DEXPERIENCE.

Action Description
Select Working Directory Displays the default working directory. To change the directory, click Browse and navigate to select the required directory.
Clear Cache Directory Cache Click Clear to delete the folder structure and files in the object cache.
Clear Embedded Browser Cache Click Clear to delete the embedded folder structure and files in the browser cache.

Missing Electronic Components

You can handle missing electronic components while creating product structure.

Action Description
Abort Checkin on Missing Electronic Components Select the check box to list all missing electronic components in 3DEXPERIENCE and end the save of product structure.

If not selected, the product structure is saved to 3DEXPERIENCE even if electronic components are missing in 3DEXPERIENCE.

Placeholder Enter a text that for components that do not have part numbers while saving a product structure.
Cadence OrCAD Specify the path to download files when you open an object from 3DEXPERIENCE.

To add additional paths, click Import.

Note: While importing a structure, the STEP files in the structure are included from this path. If the STEP file is not found in the primary path, the other paths are also searched in the order they are listed.
