User Interface

In the menu bar of the Allegro Enterprise PCB Designer Suite, click Tools > 3DEXPERIENCE. Below table lists the commands available in 3DEXPERIENCE submenu. These commands can only be selected when the project is open.

Menu Item	Description	More Information
Connect	Opens a login dialog for the user to connect to the 3DEXPERIENCE. If you are already logged in, new login is not required.
Open From 3DEXPERIENCE	When you click Open, 3DSearch dialog box appears. You can search and open required project, layout, or schematic.
Change Maturity	Lets you change the maturity state of one or more objects.	Changing Maturity
Lock Status	When you click Lock Status, the Lock Status dialog box containing the complete design structure appears. You can see the lock status in the Lock Status column.
Save	When you click Save, the Save to 3DEXPERIENCE dialog box appears. You can select objects to be saved. When you click Save in the Save to 3DEXPERIENCE dialog box, dialog box closes and progress bar appears. Note: This option is available only for the PCB Project scope.
Launch 3DEXPERIENCE	Opens 3DDashboard in the web browser with the configured URL.
Work Under	When you click Work Under, the Change Action app opens. You can see all available change actions.
Manage PTF	When you click Manage PTF, the 3DEXPERIENCE PTF Manager dialog box appears. Note: This option is only applicable for Allegro Library Project file.
My Credentials	Opens My Credentials dialog box. When you are connected to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, you can check and modify your credentials. Information about Name, URL, Organization, Collaborative Space, Role is available in this dialog box. Following actions are available in the My Credentials dialog box: Click Open to launch 3DDashboard. Click Switch Security Context to change the security context.
Preferences	Opens the Preferences dialog box.
Disconnect	Disconnects user from 3DEXPERIENCE. You need to connect to 3DEXPERIENCE before doing any other tasks.

The system tray includes a 3DEXPERIENCE icon . You can double-click the icon to view your connection status. If connected to 3DEXPERIENCE, the icon shows a green lock ( ) and the URL of the 3DSpace server. If you are not connected, the icon shows a red lock ( ) and the message indicates that you are not connected. You can right-click to view the system tray menu.

Help > About	Displays information about Design with Allegro HDL.
Help > Support Archive	Creates a zip file that contains log files to help product support when you need to report an issue.
Preferences	Set Preferences to define the behavior of Design with Allegro HDL.
Work Under	When you click Work Under, the Change Action app opens. You can see all available change actions.
Reset Work Under	When you click Reset Work Under, the work under feature is disabled.
My Credentials	Opens My Credentials dialog box. When you are connected to 3DEXPERIENCE platform, you can check and modify your credentials. Information about Name, URL, Organization, Collaborative Space, Role is available in this dialog box. Following actions are available in the My Credentials dialog box: Click Open to launch 3DDashboard Click Switch Security Context to change the security context.
Disconnect	Disconnects user from 3DEXPERIENCE. You need to connect to 3DEXPERIENCE before doing any other tasks.
Shutdown and Exit	Shuts down and closes the Design with Allegro HDL. Disconnects the session from 3DEXPERIENCE application server.
