About Replace by Revision

The Replace by Revision replaces the selected revision in a session with another revision that exists in 3DEXPERIENCE.

From the MySession widget, you can access the Replace by Revision from the Lifecycle section of the action bar and also from the context menu. You can use Replace by Revision only on objects that are saved in 3DEXPERIENCE. You can use this command on the following Inventor®objects:

  • Assembly
  • Part
  • Presentation
  • Part Factory
  • Drawing
  • Assembly Factory
Notes:
  • The Replace by Revision does not overwrite a locally modified object by default.
  • The Replace by Revision on a locally modified object is possible only when you confirm to overwrite the modifications and confirm the targeted revision.
