Save a Part Factory and an Assembly Factory in
3DEXPERIENCE
In
MySession, when you click
Save from the contextual menu, a
Save dialog box appears. It displays the contents of the
selected part or assembly factory to be saved to
3DEXPERIENCE.
When you open a Part Factory, you can view the PartFactory and the
list of all its active instances or the instances with generated files in
MySession.
When you save an assembly factory in
3DEXPERIENCE,
following information is saved;
- An active assembly item
with all its structure
- The data that already has
generated files
- The root assembly factory
The factory file is mapped to
XCADModelRepReferenceand the instance of assembly is
mapped as
VPMReference.
Note:
- The files for active
instance are auto-generated.
- When you save a modified
iAssembly, the
Save dialog box displays the modified instance and its
factory and can be saved to the same Revision.
- You can save only the
iParts with part factory or the iAssemblies with the assembly factory that has
a generated file.
Open a Part Factory and an Assembly Factory from
3DEXPERIENCE
into
Inventor®
When you open an assembly factory instance or a part factory instance
in
Inventor®,
the following files are downloaded;
- The main factory
- iAssembly for assembly
factory or instance for part factory
Note:
- When a factory is
opened, the active iAssembly or iPart is saved.
- When an iAssembly or
iPart is opened, the factory file is loaded in
Inventor®
and this iAssembly or iPart is activated inside the factory.
- On opening an assembly factory, a part factory, or
any of its instance, all the linked members for that factory are not
downloaded. All the instances for which the file was generated while
saving are downloaded on Checking out the factory or the instances.
- When a factory is
revised, all its instances are revised. You cannot revise individual iAssembly
or iPart.
