Save Dialog Box

This dialog box lists the files that you have selected to save. To save the file to 3DEXPERIENCE, you can first save it locally to the vault view. You cannot save a file into a new revision.

Columns

The table below explains all the columns in the Save dialog box in Design with Inventor.

Column name Description
Type Displays an icon for the corresponding file type.
Status Shows the result of save and modifications with respect to save.
Revision Displays the revision from 3DEXPERIENCE that is open in Inventor®.
Maturity State Lifecycle state of the CAD object.
Locked By Person that has locked the corresponding family in 3DEXPERIENCE.
Description Description of the family.
Name Automatic number string computed by the server.
Title Name of the CAD object (without the file extension).
Bookmark Contains the list of bookmarks to which the object is associated. Multiple bookmarks are separated by ‘...’ characters to indicate that other lines exist.

When you assign a new bookmark to the object, the name of the bookmark is shown in this column along with the existing bookmarks.
CAD Mastership Displays the CAD mastership of the object.
  • : Indicates an Inventor® object
  • : Indicates a CATIA V5 object
  • : Indicates a native 3DEXPERIENCE object
Get CAD Mastership Acquires the Inventor® CAD mastership on the 3DEXPERIENCE mastership assembly.
Notes:
  • When you select the Get CAD Mastership, the object is added in the save scope and the revision changes to a new revision.
  • The Get CAD Mastership is available only on 3DEXPERIENCE nodes.
  • To cancel or change the CAD mastership, you can clear the Get CAD Mastership option.

Filters

The following table provides the information regarding the available filters.

Filter Name Description
Auto Naming Assigns a name automatically to the selected design.
Notes:
  • Auto Naming check box does not update the titles of the Content Centre Data and Factory instances.
  • The Inventor® Feature Tree is updated.
  • By default, the Auto Naming check box is selected.
  • You can define the value of ReplaceTitleByNewName flag in INVUPSSetting.ini file as follows:
    • True= appending string replaces the existing name.
    • False (by default defined condition without flag)= automatically generated name is appended as suffix to the existing name.
Show only modified documents if selected Displays the modified data. By default, this filter is activated, so that only modified data is listed.
Bookmark Assigns bookmarks to objects selected in the save dialog box.

Contextual Menu

Right-click the file to;

  • Exclude: Excludes the item from Save scope
  • Include: Include the item in Save scope.
  • Revise: Creates a new revision.
  • Edit Derived Output Selection: Generates and saves derived output.
