Unlocking Data

You can unlock the locked design after completing modifications to allow other users to modify the design. To unlock data using the MySession widget, it can be present in the user's vault view - My Work folder and also in the 3DEXPERIENCE server.

This task shows you how to:

Unlock from Action Bar

  1. Open MySession widget from Inventor® Side Panel.
    You can view files open in Inventor® in the MySession widget.
  2. Select a row.
  3. Click Lifecycle section in the action bar.
  4. Click Unlock.
    The object is unlocked.

    When you unlock any configurations from a family, the configuration, the family and all other configurations are unlocked.

    Note: If a file is already unlocked, a message appears stating that selected object is already unlocked.

Unlock from Right-click

  1. Open MySession widget from Inventor® Side Panel.
    You can view he files open in Inventor® in the MySession widget.
  2. Right-click a design and select Unlock.
    The object is unlocked.

    When you unlock any configurations from a family, the configuration, the family and all other configurations are unlocked.

    Note: If a file is already unlocked, a message appears stating that selected object is already unlocked.
